  • People can take their dogs in leash condition to Kure Beach for walking between October 1 and March 31. But from April 1 to September 30, dog entry is restricted between 9 AM to 5 PM. 
  • Visitors should ensure that their dogs are leashed and kept in less than 15 feet of proximity.
  • It is the owners’ sole responsibility to dispose of any plastic bags or gloves used to clean the waste and feces of their dogs. The beach areas and benches should be clean, and the waste must be thrown correctly in allotted bins.
  • The Owners should not allow their dogs to defecate within the beach, parking, sidewalks, and public spaces. If left so, it should be cleaned off immediately.  
  • Joe Eakes Park has a fenced area, the Gurney Hood Barking Lot, where the pets can be left free to play.

  • By Airplane: The Wilmington International Airport is 22 miles from Kure Beach. Rental Cars and Taxis are available to reach the beach. Take the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway eastbound to NC- 132 S/S College Road and continue in the US -421 South/ Carolina Beach Road. Travel past Carolina Beach to reach Kure Beach. 
  • By Train: The railway stations near Kure Beach are Petersburg, Norfolk Station, and Denmark, S.C. 
  • By Bus: Carolina Beach Rd NB at College Rd, Carolina Beach Rd SB at Austin Commons, and Monkey Junction are near the bus station to Kure Beach.
