Dewey Beach Dog License

All dogs in Dewey Beach require a valid Dewey Beach dog license to go out in public. This license can be obtained online, from the Town Hall, or the kiosk in front of the Town Hall.

The dog, its most recent Rabies vaccination certificate, owner’s name, and contact details are required. You can get a temporary license for 3 or 8 days or a lifetime license.

Salisbury Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport is the nearest airport to Dewey Beach. Rental cars are readily available here to take you to the beach town.   • Dewey Beach access is prohibited between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Alcoholic beverages or glass bottles/containers are barred on the beach.
  • Overnight stays in vehicles or public places, including the beach, are disallowed.
  • Surf fishing is prohibited from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. within 100 feet of bathers (summer season).
  • Curfew for minors: Minors are disallowed in public/ including the beach, between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (12:00 midnight to 5:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).
