  • Service dogs are allowed on the beach even during this specific time.
  • Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round except this time frame. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

  • Cleaning up pet waste is the owner’s sole responsibility

Kill Devil Hills Beach Dog Licensing

Owners must have licensing for dogs who are over four months old. The validity of the license is for one year, and owners must renew it by January. If a dog is neutered or spayed, there is a deduction in the fee. 

Licensing can be obtained through in-person form submission or by mail. A Rabies vaccination certificate is mandatory for a license and must be given with the form. Owners must include a dog’s neutering or spaying certificate if applicable.
