  • All residents must carry a town-issued Sullivan’s Island Dog License or Permit to take their dogs to the beach.

  • From May 1 to September 30th, they can be off-leash on the beach from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • They are allowed off-leash in the winter months from 5 a.m. to noon.

Sullivan’s Island Dog License

According to Sullivan’s Island Dog Rules, all pet owners must carry dog licenses to take their dogs out in public and anywhere on the island. These permits are issued at the Town Hall located at 2050 B Middle Street. A yearly pass for a Sullivan’s Island resident costs $25 per dog; for visitors, it’s $50 per dog.
