  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times. The leash must be at least 6 feet.

  • Pets must always show good behavior. They are prohibited from running freely when outside the property of the owner.

Ocean City Dog Licensing

Owners must register dogs before keeping them in Ocean City. All dogs that are 6 months or older must be licensed. Dogs are eligible for registration When they grow a full set of teeth. A certified veterinarian must also vaccinate against rabies. 

Pets must, at all times, wear their registration badges. Licenses need to be renewed annually. Charges range from $8 (for spayed) & $10 (for non-spayed) pets. A $4 (approx) late fee is applicable on license renewal after 31st March.
