A dog license is valid as long as the pet’s rabies vaccination certificate is valid. The dog license fee is less for spayed dogs, and proof of being neutered is required from the veterinarian. 

To obtain a dog license, pet owners must provide the following information: Owner’s Name, Address, Telephone Number, Breed, Age, Color, and Sex.

Application for a dog license can be submitted online through their offline website or offline at the Civic Center at Bay A or the Newport Beach Animal Shelter. The official license tag is issued onsite and by mail to the concerned pet owner.
