The beach is a very well-known place for hosting charity events. Here, various walks, runs, bicycle races, etc., happen for special causes. The Fiesta Island Youth Camp and Aquatic Center is located here. It is one of the best dog beaches in San Diego County.

The campsite can host up to 250 people and offers amenities like a barbecue, fire pit, and picnic tables. 

Tourists can enjoy various water activities here. A 5 m.p.h zone area on the island’s east side is available. People can get permits from the City of Diego lifeguards for water skiing in the Hidden Cove area. Jet Skis and other PWC owners use the island for launching purposes.
