• Pups are allowed on the beach from September 2nd to March 31st. During the summer season, they are prohibited here.
• They must be on a leash accompanied by their parents. Service animals can roam freely with them. 
• Owners must clean off every spec of dust and feces after their pups. Leaving the coast dirty is a punishable offense, as per the laws of Connecticut. They must carry extra garbage bags to clean off. 
• Identification tags are necessary for every domesticated animal visiting Bluff Point State Park Beach.

Bluff Point State Park Beach Dog Licensing

People need to have updated licenses for their pups to visit this shore. As per the laws of the State of Connecticut, dogs as young as 6 months need to be licensed by their owners. They need to obtain it within 30 days of possession of their new pet.

The licenses are renewed annually. Parents can download, fill in, and repost the Dog License Mail-In Application Form. Supporting documents needed with this form are updated details of Rabies Vaccination, Spay/ Neuter Certificate, and check or money order as licensing fees. 

The Licensing fee for a spayed dog is $8, and $19 for an unneutered pup. The license renewal process goes on from 1st June to July 31st. In case they fail to renew it within this time, a fine of $1 per month is imposed on them.

Bluff Point State Park Beach Rules and Regulations

• Visitors are warned about pursuing any wild animal at Bluff Point State Park. Only Connecticut state-authorized agencies or personnel with written authorization from the Commissioner can do this. Otherwise, it’s a punishable offense. 
•  Tourists must clean and dispose of all the waste items in the garage bins placed by the order of the Commissioner. 
• Visitors can go to Bluff Point Beach anytime between sunrise and sunset. They cannot enter the Bluff Point Coastal Reserve unless it’s open. 
• Only park-authorized personnel can use motorized vehicles on the beach and park. Otherwise, battery-operated cars or horse carriages with the capacity to carry 2 passengers are allowed in the park. These are allowed for tourists with disabilities. 
• Any firearms or weapons are prohibited on the beach. 
• Tourists are prohibited from camping on the beach.
• Making bonfires is a punishable offense in Bluff Point Beach.
• Only the Commissioner can put up sign boards or banners on the Bluff Point State Park. 
• Children must be with their parents, guardians, or custodians. 
• The Commissioner can make any improvements or put up any construction on the beach.
• Pets are prohibited on the beach during the summer season. Otherwise, domesticated dogs on leash can visit the beach. 
• Drones are prohibited here. 
• Digging trenches on the beach is prohibited here. 
• Using the beach and the Reserve Park for financial gain is punishable.
• Improper behaviors, nudity, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited here.
